A tourism permit is issued by the Navajo Nation Parks and Recreation Department to any person(s) providing and conducting commercial tour and guide services on the Navajo Nation.
Any person(s), Navajo or Non-Navajo, desiring to provide and conduct commercial tour and guide services on the Navajo Nation must first apply to the Navajo Nation Parks and Recreation Department and maintain a valid permit while providing tour services. A permit is required for any type of tour, including vehicle, horseback, hiking, location scouting, aircraft, guided, hot air balloon, and watercraft tours. Note that all individuals, regardless of legal business type, apply using the same form and supporting documents.
Submit a complete application along with the listed supporting documents and permit fees in accordance with the Navajo Nation Tour and Guide Services Act rules and regulations. You must renew your permit annually.
